Holton Auto GMT - Nivo 101-A23

NIVO is a unique dial colour, it stands for Night Invisible Varnish Orfordness. Combined with a slightly paler PVD gunmetal finish and matching X1 C3 SuperLuminova the 101-A23 is a stunning tool watch ready for any and every adventure.

If you’re familiar with the original Holton Professional, this GMT Automatic version has the blackness level dialled back a notch with slightly softer hues.

The NIVO dial, paler gunmetal finish and 24hr bezel at a touch of sophistication.

The dial colour NIVO, originally made from a combination of yellow ochre, pigment white 5, and ultramarine blue, was developed at Orfordness experimental station as a paint for British bombers that matched both the colour and gloss level of open water at night.

Brought to life as the primary palette for this 101-A23 GMT, it’s the perfect contrast to the bold X1 C3 used for the 12,3,6,9 cardinal markers, solid bold hour batons and clear hands.

Unique to the GMT Holton is the independently adjustable GMT hand whose broad arrow appears to float thanks to the dark shaft designed to blend with the dial. Referencing the 24hr scale on the bezel the GMT hand can be set independently to register the time in a second time zone – perfect to message home on your travels.

This Holton is built to withstand the harshest environments with bullet proof credentials and a reputation rooted firmly amongst the military and emergency services.

The last three photos are stills taken from a video of a Holton and a Kimmeridge strapped to an ROV in the Gulf of Mexico in March 2020, still working at 3900ft - almost 3/4 mile underwater.
